{ Your Nursery }

Your room is compete!  Now all we need is you to come and fill it with even more love.  I am currently obsessed with chevrons so I incorporated those into your bedding that we had custom made for you.  I am also not a traditional girl that wants puppy dogs and little baby stuff so I wanted to go with a different theme for your room.  I decided to go with an "Alphabet" theme.  We painted one wall with giant letters.  To customize it just for you, mommy used all the letters in your name only!!

Lola decided to help!

( Maternity Photos )

About two weeks ago we had our maternity photos done.  Our originally photographer who is going to be doing your newborn photos was supposed to take them but sadly her father passed away and she had to fly back home to take care of everything.

Thankfully a friend of a friend who is a young photographer trying to make her way into the business had offered to take them for us. She did a great job and was a lot of fun to work with too!

Thanks again Rachel!

{ Babymoon }

With all this heat and misery mommy and daddy decided to take a quick break and get away for the weekend. It wasn't quite the babymoon we had in mind because it was so short but it was probably the last trip we will ever have as just the two of us.

We packed our bags and headed out to mam-ma and pap-pa's house (they are your great grand parents). They have a house in Parker which is just up the hill from the river. A relaxing day on the boat is just what the Dr. had ordered!!!! We took the boat out and drove down to Badenoch's! It was really nice being able to be at the river, in my bikini and eating all I wanted without a worry about sucking in my stomach. There aren't many opportunities like this in life! After breakfast we went down to the camp grounds we always stay at during our annual river trip and just got out and floated in the water. With it being 108 degrees outside the water felt amazing! After some time in the water we went up river again to the damn where we shut off the boat and floated some more..this time in the boat not water...not nearly as cool but still incredibly relaxing.

It was a great weekend all in all...again, WAY too short but better than nothing. The next time we will be in Parker will be in November....and you will be joining us!

( Week 32 )

I've recently noticed that you no longer punch and kick.  Guess your living quarters are getting a little too tight for big movements like that.  All I really get these days are rolls and squirms!

{ MILKaholic Shower }

Your shower was beyond fun!!  So many people came to show how much they love you and can not wait for your arrival.

All along I wanted to have a co-ed baby shower and bounced back and forth on weather or not to do it.  Your dad obviously didn't want to have a co-ed shower.  Him having to be there would mean he would be forced to mingle and socialize.  I also think he feels showers are for girls only anyway.  Some may agree, I unfortunately for him am not one of those people.  Your grandma wasn't too keen on the co-ed idea either.  I really didn't care though...don't people know better than to mess with a crazy pregnant woman?? Hehe.

 Getting you here was a journey; one that everyone had been a part of.  Our friends and family were there for us through the tears and the heartache that came with 8 rounds of failed treatments.  They were there to bring us food, support, and wishes and prayers after surgery.  They were there for the amazing announcement of you.  So, I thought why shouldn't they be there to celebrate your arrival with one big party where we could all be together?

I am not going to lie, I am also not a big fat pf traditional girl only showers.  They really aren't my thing.  I don't care to play all the games and feel that you can only use the same theme and games so many times before it becomes repetitive.  I wanted something different, something more relaxing, something fun.  Que your co-ed MILKaholic theme!!

It turned out perfect, from the decorations, to the food, to the weather and most importantly that all our friends and family were there.  We are so thankful and grateful to have so many people who love us!

A special thanks to your Auntie Coco, Yiayia, Grandma, and Julie for making this all come together!!
